About CalcPylot

CalcPylot is a free collection of fast, accurate online calculators for the everyday numbers that matter — your loan repayment, your take-home pay, how much your savings could grow, what an insurance estimate might look like, and dozens more. We built it for one simple reason: getting a clear answer to a money or planning question should take seconds, not a spreadsheet and a coffee break.

Who we are

We are a small, independent team of developers and writers who genuinely enjoy turning complicated formulas into tools anyone can use. There is no giant corporation behind CalcPylot and no sales team waiting to call you. We build each calculator ourselves, test it against worked examples, and publish it because we think it should exist and be free.

What you'll find here

Our calculators are organised into six practical categories so you can find what you need quickly:

How we build our calculators

The vast majority of our tools are based on well-established formulas that you'll find in finance textbooks and official reference sources — the standard loan amortisation formula, compound interest, the Mifflin-St Jeor equation for calories, and so on. Where a topic has more than one widely used approach, we choose the most common and clearly transparent method and explain it in plain language on the page. Every calculator is written in-house, and all descriptive content is original work created by our own team.

Your privacy comes first

Every calculation runs entirely inside your own browser using JavaScript. The numbers you enter are never sent to a server, never stored, and never shared. There's no sign-up, no account, and no tracking of your personal figures. You can read the full details on our Privacy Policy page.

A note on accuracy

We work hard to keep our formulas correct and our results reliable, but every tool on CalcPylot is designed to give you an estimate for general information and educational purposes. Tax rules, interest rates, insurance pricing and personal circumstances vary widely, so our results are not a substitute for professional financial, tax, legal, or medical advice. For decisions that really matter, please confirm the numbers with a qualified professional.
